Website management software or utility needed help!

Hello,

I've been taking care of two websites for three years now for two different organizations under one very small-low budget parent organization. Soon, I won't be able to do this anymore because of time.

Both websites are just static HTML that need updates and rarely a layout change. The president of this organization emails me the changes and I do them within the night. I need some kind of software where he (has no knowledge of website creation or coding) can do these simple changes on the website by himself.

The software needs to be simple and easy to use, affordable, and work well.

I was hoping somebody would have a suggestion on what would be the best option?

Thanks a lot!

sounds like you need a content management software, like Joomla or Drupal

If only text is being edited, it could possibly be done with a basic HTML editor as well. Just show the president where to make the changes, i.e. between which tags, and show him how to upload the new page via FTP. It should be pretty simple once he gets the hang of it.

Show him dreamweaver. Set up all the files on his computers, (ie: images, css, etc..). This would show him the exact output of the page when editing. He could allow it to function via the Design mode, and really make his life simple.

Joomla, typo3 or drupal would be my bet. And they're all free.
