If you see "unwritable" you need to change the permissions on the file or directory to allow joomla to write to it.

You go to the directory in your FTP or however you access it, right click on it and change the permissions to make it writable I think. It is a variable (number) set you put in to make it writeable If I remember correctly.. That should do it

thanks, highanddry, i did it.

now another problem:

" configuration.php Unwriteable"

I can't find this file configuration.php anywhere in the sever, instead there is a configuration.php-dist, but when I rename this file, I receive error.

what happen?

I think its not there because it wasn't initially writeable, so it wasn't written. Try a clean format and reinstall of the joomla software with your newly writable permissions.

Your host obviously does not have Fantastico or another auto install script. It would really save you a lot of time & hassle. As for the configuration.php problem: this might help: http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.ph...st=0&sk=t&sd=a

Good luck.
