I have a bunch of domains hosted at one or two hosting providers..and my main problem is the lack of a comprehensive tool that would allow me to manage the file system/MySQL DBs/the HTML code/Java script/PHP/maybe even Perl, all from one interface.

Can anyone give me an idea about such a tool? Some Ajax-based tool, I would think it would do the job..but I couldn't find any

Thanks!

Such a tool does exist - it's called a computer. That's as granular a tool as you're likely to find, tho.

Cpanel has several modules within it that do all those and it's technically all one interface, maybe try something like that. I'm guessing you're running XP though. My suggestion is reading up on using the command line. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../bb490890.aspx also read up on PUTTY http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~s.../download.html it's SSH. Good luck.
