I'm sure someone has asked this before, but I really need some help.

My site is hosted by Yahoo web hosting. No matter what I try, they will not let me create or upload a .htaccess file. I need to do a 301 redirect from several htm files to other htm files, but without .htaccess, the only way I know of to do this is the meta refresh tag (this is what the yahoo help page suggested) which I know is the wrong way to go about this.

So what is to be done in my situation?

change hosts or use a meta refresh.

The SE engineers have said that a 0 second meta refresh is now treated as a permanent redirect.
