Hi,
I'm trying to install a shopping basket on our web-site using a program called Clover Shop.
In the admin-config file I must put in the address of the mysql server.
My web site provider has just given the information sql.myname.fr, but when I get the login panel and put in the username & password I dont get any where.
I've verified the username & password spelling, but I think that it might be simply the address sql.myname.fr - should it not be http://www.something or other?
I've sent emails to the provider but they dont reply.

http is the protocol or scheme for serving documents.

sql.myname.fr is a DNS identifier and would be pefectly valid for pointing to your MySQL server. Provided of course that your website is myname.fr or is on the same IP.

What happens if you just put localhost?

it will resolve to 127.0.0.1
