I'm quite unexperienced in web design (I've only made one, very basic website, using only HTML).

I wanted to make a website but it will contain some private information (full names, addresses and telephone numbers/emails of a certain amount of people who might not want it available for everyone to see).

Could anyone suggest the various methods of making this information private?

Also, if I don't want to keep password protection, is there any way to disable search engines from finding this website.

In other words, if someone searches a name, I don't want the search engine to bring up my site which will also contain the person's number, address etc..

This would save me the trouble of having to put password protection (most people aren't going to randomly enter the domain name)

if there is a link anywhere to it bots will find it.
I have a couple of sites still in development and there are no links that I know of and no promotion has been done as yet, but several bots, SE ones and spambots have been hitting the sites, the well behaved ones are obeying robots.txt the scrapers and spambots aren't.

If it's private, secure it or DO NOT put it on the internet.

You may replace sensitive data by images with text to avoid it being indexed

why would you put that kind of info on a web page anyway?
