I have a WHM account and I'm making some tests.
I've made an account with a domain name and the NS where upgraded.

My problem is that I can access the site with http://sitename.com but it's very hard to access it with http://www.sitename.com


It seems that it doesnt like the www tag.
Could someone help me?

It's very hard.
I need to refresh the page to get it.
And when I'm surfing in the website most times I need to refresh again cause it losses the connection.

One more thing, that domain have about 2/3 months with those settings.

Guessing here because it's impossible to be specific without knowing the affected hostnames, but it sounds like a DNS caching problem.

Is it just you or have others had the same problems?

I can't tell you cause I only added one domain to my reseller account. so, I don't know even could test because I have no more domains.

My nameservers in the domain are with ns1/2.xtremecore.com but in my registrar they need to be with another cause the my NS1/2.xtremecore.com are virtual, so, they aren't registered.

Any one?

EDIT: Now it seems that's happen the same thing only with domain.com, but less.

your nameservers should be NS1.FTNDNS.INFO & NS2.FTNDNS.INFO

There are no DNS records for ns1.xtremecore.com & ns2.xtremecore.com. so any useragent using those servers as authoritative will have problems resolving the www CNAME

So if I change the NS in the DNS Edit Zone @ WHM It will work?

What do you have in the file? Unless you're redirecting all URL's that start with www. to a dead link, I don't see how it could. I think chris may have found the problem - however, I haven't checked if those nameservers really do exist.

One more thing that I've thought. It could be from .htaccess file?

nslookup now returns the correct records for both hostname & the www alias

clear your DNS cache - run -> cmd -> then in the command window type -> ipconfig /flushdns -> press enter -> then use ctrl+F5 when you open the www version.
