Nameserver & IP-Address Question

Hello
My VPS host provide me 5 ip address

my domain registered at namecheap

should i use 5 nameserver (ns1.domain.com.....ns5.domain.com) with different IPs (using 5 ips for 5 nameserver)

or should i use only an IP

what will be the benifit if i use 5 IPs with 5 nameserver

another question....can i use same IP for two domains ??

Nope.
If all IPs are on the same machine having 5 nameservers will make no difference at all.

Ask them why. It may be some "deal" they were/are offering.

But they can be used for SSL should you need it.

You can have many usages.
A friend's server have 4 used ip's

2 are for the dns server. It's often required when you register a domain that 2 different IP are referenced for the dns server.
1 for the machine itself.
1 for the "serial console over network" access.

And I know of peoples that use those extras IP for vmware virtual machines.
Rather than doing a complicated redirect of the tcp packets, they bridge the virtual machines to the physical network.
