I have a dedicated server with IWeb, and my domains are through GoDaddy. Currently I have an A record for @ pointing to my server, and one for www. My website is working fine. I am now installing imap/pop3/smtp and want to know what is involved in the mx record side of things. For the smtp server, I want it to use smtp.domain.com. Do I create an A Record, and mx record, and what will go in each of them. What do I need to do to make imap work, just add a records for imap.domain.com and pop3.domain.com? Anything to do on my server?

Also, when I create a sub domain, do I have to create an A record for that, then update my virtual hosts file?

thanks
