This is my first post here, and I am a new webmaster, so please bear with me if my questions are ridiculously simple [gotta start somewhere, right?].

I want to test some ecommerce scripts offline before I buy them, Is there software that does this?

I am looking at possibly trying ViArt, Interpire or ShopScriptPro but I havn't used any of them so I need to see how they work in an environment where i can make lots of mistakes. I used to use Joomla and WAMP to test sites offline, can the same thing be done here?

Or could you suggest an alternative?

I don't see why not, assuming WAMP fits the requirements of those software. From a quick look, I think you shouldn't have problems.
