Please help we recently puchased a un managed Vitrual Server from Godaddy.

We had a programmer design a database for us and in order to use we need to update to zend ce on our server.

Please advise if their is a program to buy that will give us access to our root server to install zend ce....

New to this so any help or suggestion would be great

If you have purchased the unmanaged Virtual Server then you must have the root access to the server. If you do not have then you need to contact Godaddy for the same.

Perhaps you should get a managed server until you learn how to do this.

To enable SSH on a GoDaddy server just click SSH from your hosting control pannel and select it from there. Your content will then be moved from your current server to another over the next 24 hours. With SSH access you can install most programs, for those requiring a higher trust level you need to contact GoDaddy via phone. GoDaddy actually allows SSH access on even cheap 5 dollar a month shared plans!

No, especially not with a VPS setup like what the OP describes.
