Hi all,

My name is Nikolai and i have the problem listed bellow:

i bought domain name www.mydomain.com and i installed tomcat 6 on a server with windows 2003.

I mapped the IP address of the server to the DNS www.mydomain.com

i put my website in the tomcat webapps directory and if someone want to access it he should type

www.mydomain.com:8080/myWebSite

and it works like a charm.

What i am asking is how can i configure the tomcat container to be able to point users to myWebSite when they type ONLY THE DNS NAME in the browser url field

www.mydomain.com to lead to www.mydomain.com:8080/myWebSite

Run it on port 80.

You will have to add the entry in your configuration file with www.mydomain.com:8080 and without www as mydomain.com:8080 and have a try.
