Hi there

We have currently just launched a website. However we can access the website at http://domain.com HOWEVER can not access it at http://www.domain.com ..

Can anyone give any advice as to why the prefixed 'www' will not resolve?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Add a CNAME record (Alias) for the hostname to the DNS zone for your hostname.

Usually this happens with dedicated servers, when admin tries to set the DNS record.

Easiest is contact hosting support, they would do that for you. Or if you have access do as chrishirst said.

Please make sure that you have added the CNAME entry of www in your DNS zone editor.
