I have been trying to install a new wordpress blog. I have added the domain to the host. I created the mysql database. I have edited the wp-config.php as explained on the wordpress site. I have uploaded wordpress and its contents to the htdocs directory.

I cannot get the site to load though.
Not sure what to try next!!

Is sorted now. I think, either it was because I haden't uploaded any sitemaps. That may have caused it, or maybe some sort of delay on server.

Tried /wp-admin/install.php in browser again today after uploading the sitemaps, got a server not found message. Clicked try again and it installed wordpress, just like that.

But it wouldn't work at all last night. If it was to do with the sitemap or server I dont know but perhaps someone else does.

Nothing to do with sitemaps. It simply sounds as if DNS had not propagated.

It takes 48 to 96 hours (2 to 4 days)
