What is a good plan for my site?

My Drupal site is hosted on the 1and1 virtual server. The traffic (incoming data) is not high about 1gb/day and CPU usage is usually 50%. I probably need to move the site to a dedicated server since the CPU usage is a little high. Do you guys think so? But I don't know what kind of dedicated servers are enough -- is Opteron 1216 + 2 GB RAM enough or I need a better one??

Thanks for any advice!

What kind of site is it?

Knowing that would give more chance of suggesting the server requirements.

Is the CPU usage 50% or 0.50 on a Linux system?

Alright, so it's actually using 50%. I was just wondering because a common mistake would be confusing load averages for percentage values.

How much are you currently paying for the VPS? Maybe an upgrade would be more suitable than a Dedicated Server.

It is $40/mo on 1and1. probably gonna switch to a better hosting. 1and1's custom services suck.
The VPS II:

A bit slow.
