I got an opportunity to purchase a better domain name that fits my search criteria.

The old domain gets nada for traffic. So I want to move all the post from the old domain to the new domain and delete off of the old.

Whats the best way for this to be done?

Wait, what are you trying to do? If you can explain a little more what you are trying to move I could attempt to help you. Are you using Cpanel for both domains currently?

Because my anchor text is now my domain name also.

So I dont know for sure, but its natural to assume.

And I dont have anything to loose, because the prior domain traffic is minute

Are you just trying to move the content from the old domain to the new domain? If so the easiest way will depend on how the site is built. You're either going to have to copy the files to the new domain or copy the files and the database if there is one as well as whatever application is running the site.

By the way I agree with Chris. The new domain might be the better choice for a number of reasons, but odds are a new domain alone isn't going to suddenly bring you traffic.

Actually that may ONLY be the case for any new links AND you have obviously misconstrued the ONLY place the at a "keyword" domain name is an slight advantage.

When you assume anything you make an *** out of yoU and ME.
Assuming things in the SEO world is THE best way to get it wrong.

That's down to lack of promotion, and changing hostnames ISN'T going to change that.

Chris you should realize those that are setting the words you can't use here are Americans. We don't think arse is a bad word. We simply think it's a cute way to say a$$. Besides we're American. What do we know about the English language?
