I would just keep the domain you're currently using.
If you have a consistent traffic flow, you don't want to potentially lose those visitors, or maybe the ones that haven't been to your site in a while because you're changing the domain.
Think about some of the most used websites out there.
Google.com for example, has nothing to do with search engines. Back in the day it did better than search engines, for example, "InfoSeek" even though InfoSeek had a more 'to the point' domain.
Flickr. What the hell is a Flickr?
Its up to you to brand your current name.
I would continue using whatever domain you're using if its already got a developed website and traffic flow instead of changing it. Overtime you'll get better rankings due to the age and quality of content on your site.
