Is there anyway other than asking my host what versions of mysql, php and others they have installed? maybe a script?

I can look on the left side panel of my cPanel home screen on both of my hosts and see everything from how many email addresses I am using out of how many allowed, to what versions of Perl, Python, PHP, the Apache version and operating system and more.
