I am using fantastico and I keep getting redirected to some website "son-viol.ru"

For example, lets say I installed www.site.com/joomla using fantastico and I click it that link at step 3, I get redirected to that website.

Then I am in the administration section and I click "menu" or something I get redirected! These things should not be happening

What should I do?

I'm going to guess at a DNS error.

How would I go about fixing that error? I am currently under a host, is there a way I can do this without waiting on them?

I''ve been going on other computers and trying to see if its a computer problem. However most computers are acting weird as well.

I loaded up the site you mentioned, and Firefox blocked it, saying it was a reported attack page. So it seems likely that you are the victim of a malicious attack of some sort.

nslookup hostname

in a commandprompt window.

You had better check the server to see if there are any strange looking files on it that you don't recognize. Also, check to see if your existing files have any strange code attached to it. If you're the only one that uses the files, and you have them all locally, you might want to re-upload them all before changing your FTP information.

Getting rid of web malware can be difficult, but it's usually easier than for a PC.

Maybe, just maybe you need to tell US the host name!!!!!!!

Also, be sure you're using the latest version of Joomla, it could be a known security hold in Joomla.

No problem with the website. No DNS problems.

Your machine or the network you are on is where the problem lies.

I am in the joomla main page, then I click Menu -> Menu Manager. Then I would click, for instance, home. After that I would get redirected.

What about when you are not logged in to Joomla? Does browsing the public part of the site cause redirects?

then I would suspect there is an issue with a hijacker on the server. It wouldn't be the first time with the (lack of) security with justhost

I was able to reproduce the issue by going to the /administrator/ directory of your site, so the problem is on the server.
