hey i run my webpage off my home pc with apache and i wanted to know if you could host a forum on it and how would the posts be saved on my hard drive?

Yes, you can install the forum on the apache server and you will have to use MySQL database to save the post.

You'll need to install both MySQL and PHP with apache.

BUT your home connection and your home PC WOULD NOT cope with a even slightly busy forum.
