I need to move from my current hosting company to a new one. I am using justhost and need to a) export my existing website or b) import my website to a new hosting company. I am trying to learn Dream Weaver but not sure if I should use that or Joomla can anyone advice, my site is very small (10 pages) not flashy stuff, just std text.

Upload the pages to the new host, change the DNS, leave the old host active for 5 days to ensure that DNS propagates completely.

For 10 or so pages Joomla is total overkill.

Thanks do you know if there is a free site I can use to practice on? I will do it again with the new hosting company - I might use Dream Hosts or Fast Hosts. My dilema is this. My site is hosted with Justhost who suck, it was created using RV builder (template) I have changed the header in the template, when i zip and import the image and other related files like style and index for example the final step is to publish it. The final result is www.sulphatesupplies.co.uk no header image, so I need to move what I have got to another host. My mate said he can grab the whole site and put in joomla, but that is not your recommendation. So do I use dreamhost and learn dreamweaver wuickly but is DrmWea just like Joomla, is it that more suited to small web sites. Plus my mate is charing me £200+ vAT

You can take the complete backup of your site including web contents, emails, databases (if any) at your local machine and upload it to the new hosting provider service who provides RV site builder.

Moreover, if you would like to design the site using dreamweaver then you can install the dreamweaver at your local machine and start building your site. Once you build it then you can publish your site in the server.

For small sites stick with Dream Weaver imo.
