I'm not really a tech savvy guy but I have put together a website to sell my product, which are tutorials built in Adobe captivate.

A freelance guy built a login system for the website which gives users access to the tutorials.

Right now my tutorials are right in the public directory and I think an unauthorized person could access to them pretty easy by viewing the contents of the public directory.

Given this kind of setup, what is the typical way to secure the product?
How is it typically done?

Thanks!

Put a blank default page in the folder and disallow directory browsing
