I need help of a clear elaboration about MX purpose in any domain name.

MX stands for Mail EXchanger and the DNS records should point to the mail server(s) for the hostname.

It is a DNS record that specify the mail server that receive emails from outside for respective domains. You might have some mail servers, but you want to choose one or more of them will receive the email from outside. To do so, you can define each mail server IP address at the record of MX of your domain.
