I recently moved to a new host the domains have been moved over to the new host but the old sites still show.

I updated the name servers but I cant access the new location of the domain only the old one but when I use the dedicated IP I can access the new site.

is this the whois record or cache for search engines?

DNS caching, it takes up to 96 hours (4 days) to propagate

NOTHING to do with search engines

Hi Barry,

You might want to use the free DNS services to check your new settings. Just after you make a change, you can point your resolver DNS to another (that you think does not have the records of your domain).

Here are some of the resolver you might use:
- 208.67.222.222 (OpenDNS)
- 208.67.220.220 (OpenDNS)
- 8.8.8.8 (Google)
- 8.8.4.4 (Google)

While it depends on your SOA record, but nowadays, changes do not take so long to be propagated.
