Hi

My company's website: itemperance.in has a PR of 5. I want to now movie it to itemperance.com using 301 .htaccess redirection. I have a few questions i hope will be answered here:

1]- will my new domain get the PR of the old domain, ie 5
2]- will it be bad SEOwise
3]- will my listed pages on google lose their value
4]- what is the best way to redirect if not .htaccess?

I really need the answers for these questions and I believe the experts at webmaster-talk will not disappoint me.

Thank You.

yes it should, I would also log into google webmaster tools and do the 301 redirect there.

1] No (not that it matters)
2] If you don't mind 6 months of disruption until the SEs to catch up.
3] Not all of whatever "value" they have.
4] If you are hosted on Apache not really. But all "301" redirect are the same no matter how they are accomplished.
