Hi All,

It is possible to install SSL certificate in my local system (My Desktop) who is online through static IP.

My requirement is we have a php + mysql website which is registered and hosted (Linux Hosting) on GoDaddy.
But some part of my website is using MSSQL which is present on my local machine which is present at my work place. For that we have create a virtual server at our end and make some part of my website online through static IP.

Now we have purchased Premium (EV) SSL Certificate from godaddy for our website and installed it on our GoDaddy account. It is working fine my website is working through "https". Now we want install SSL certificate on my virtual private machine which is located at my end.

My VPS configuration is WindowsXP + WAMP.

If it is possible then please let me know how can we do that in WAMP.

Regards,
Vivek

Self signed certificates will always trigger a security warning to visitors. This may or may not be a problem, depending on what your website is used for. If your website is being seen by potential customers then this would be a bad idea to use a self signed cert. If non customers are using your site, then this might work if they don't mind see the warning and accepting the cert as a trusted SSL site.
