Hi Guys, I'm new here. Just wanted to say from what I have seen so far...nice friendly site.

I would also like to ask for some advice. I had an old site which worked fine with no issues.
After it being live for only a few weeks I decided that I would redesign it, after doing so I have uploaded it to my free webspace provided by Virgin Media.

The images are distorted in Opera, half of them don't display at all in IE8. Can anyone take a look and tell me what has gone wrong?

Ive seen that happen before when someone try s to access said image while its uploading.

Try saving as a different image format?

Ah-ha you are a genius. I just tried it on one sample image. Changing it from jpg to bmp works a treat!
Now the lovely task of going through the entire website, converting all images and updating the link :-)

Thank you anyway, at least I know where I went wrong.

OK I was a bit quick to reply then. I changed the images on my home page to bmp but there are still a few affected.
Is there anything else I could try?

Sorry for replying to my own replies, I think I have it sorted now.
Looks like the image quality was too high, either got distorted while transferring over or there is some restriction on my webspace.

I compressed the images an uploaded them again and all seems fine now although not quite as crisp as I would like it.
