Does anyone know what would cause this problem? I'm hosted at 2mHost.com
I had this same problem with FatCow literally the day I signed up until the moment I canceled my service with them, but I've NEVER had an issue with 2mHost until the last two days.
I have opened a ticket and am awaiting a response, but Mark doesn't seem to know what's going on. So I thought I'd post a quick thread here while I wait for my bagel to finish toasting.
Anyway, I don't seem to have an issue right now, everything is working fine - but I want to make sure this doesn't happen again. Does anyone know what could cause this problem? (Since I'm lazy, I'm just going to C/P the ticket)

My Ticket
I really like 2MHost and have never had a problem until recently. I switched to 2MHost from FatCow because I was having this same issue at FatCow the day I signed up for it. (It seems they never fixed the problem)
Anyway, I'm not sure how to describe the problem because I'm not really sure where the problem lies, so I'll do my best:
Sometimes I edit my webpage offline and then upload all the files when I choose to do so. Usually when I'm working with PHP and a database, I just work directly from the File Manager on the CPanel. I typically type out a few lines of code, save my work, and view the webpage to make sure everything is in working order. Say For Example, I type the letter "A" into the Code Editor from the File Manager, save my work and refresh the page - I would see the letter "A" as expected. Assume I continue working in the Code Editor and make a change, save and refresh 20 times over the course of 1 minute. Every 20 saves, I would see the changes immediately.
Recently however, I'm not seeing changes. I tried to see if it was an issue with time (maybe I'm working too fast in between saves). So, I tried saving my work 10 times over a span of 1 minute, each time only adding 1 Letter to the Code Editor. All 10 times I checked the webpage after each save, there were NO CHANGES made to the page. I tried again this time 10 saves over a span of 10 minutes. Each time I checked the webpage, there were NO CHANGES made to the page.
I have gotten it to work by closing the tab, opening a new tab and typing the address into the browser, which is extremely tedious when I should simply be able to hit the Refresh button to see new changes. As of yesterday, that method stopped working altogether. I tried refreshing the page multiple times - that worked sometimes and didn't work other times.
Currently, I'm the ONLY one using the website. It's a personal site that I'm not launching at the moment so I'm sure the problem isn't too much traffic.
My internet connection speed is fine. Other websites load fine. 2mhost loads fine, games load fine, firefox starts up normally. In fact the pages on my website that I'm working on LOAD fine, they just won't update changes.
Can you help me?

My Reply
I don't seem to be having the problem right now. Yesterday and the day before I was randomly editing 3 different files in my doodles directory. I started working on one, then stopped to work on another and then stopped to work on another in the parent directory because I was having this problem and I wasn't sure where the problem existed.
There is very little code on these pages for that reason. I don't think the problem is with the files.
Anyway, I've attached one of the files. I typed "hello hello hello" at the bottom and refreshed the page and it worked fine. However, the past two days, had I done the same, I wouldn't have seen any changes
Oh nvm I can't upload php pages - anyway, there's little-to-no code on the pages anyway
As stated, the problem isn't with the files themselves or whats on them
ie: had I not closed a php tag or ended the head tag, I would know

Literally, I can create a new webpage and type Hello World, view the webpage and see "Hello World"
but assume I edit the page to say "Hello World!", then save changes and refresh, I would still see "Hello World" (without an exclamation)
Anyway, bagel is done - has anyone ever had a similar issue with a host? Their support WOULD know if something was awry with their servers, but it doesn't seem like Mark is indicating such
