As i face some issues in my developing profession i don't think so i would like to have this coz i can manage it myself.. Don't take me wrong i just giving my opinion..

Depends. It's mainly a backup in case your site is built in a way that prevents search engine spiders from crawling the site on their own. For example say there's some reason why you absolutely have to have code all your navigation in Flash. In that case search engines can't follow the links and find your pages. Then perhaps you would add an xml sitemap to tell search engines what pages are on your site.
On the other hand you could either replace the Flash menu with an html menu or provide an html menu in addition to the Flash one that search engines could crawl easily.
What Chris is saying and what I agree with is if you've developed your site well so that search engines can easily crawl and find pages on their own you don't need an xml sitemap and you're probably better off. Also know that search engines don't guarantee they'll index or even crawl every url listed in your xml sitemap.
