Why E-Checks are no good

here is the scenario: i go to your e-store and choose some rather nice items and pay with an e-check. the check clears. so i decide to file a claim, reporting "unauthorized use" of my account. payment to the seller is frozen.

in the mean time, download links are provided to the buyer, cause the check cleared, and the buyer can still download the product cause PayPal initially cleared payment. even though there is a dispute, PayPal has allowed the scammer to get what they didn't pay for.

9 times out of 10, PayPal sides with the buyer, even though they have committed a fraud against the web site they have "purchased" from.

beware of this person and this email address:

qushikas sellers
qushikas@yahoo.com

this person bought from me, when the check cleared they filed a claim, then downloaded the product, all in that order within 12 hours.

the solution? do not use e-checks, and beware of that person. i no longer accept e-checks from anyone. if your smart, you will no longer accept them either.

Thats the technique by which Ethiopian scammers use on ebay.

They buy an item of high value, wait for it to reach them, then yank the money back off the seller.
