Hey,

A couple of weeks ago, I bought ShockPHP. Currently, we have the following products for sale:

RSS Media Site Pro
Fully-featured media site script that uses RSS feeds (YouTube and generic feeds) to automatically update the site's content. This script can add literally thousands of videos to your site every day without you needing to lift a finger.

Media Site Pro
Media script that uses admin and user submitted content to keep the site up-to-date. This script works a lot like Peekvid and includes comprehensive admin controls to help make site management easier.

Both scripts are only $25.

I plan on investing a lot of time into upgrading these scripts in the future, including things like advanced template management, more ad placements, better ad control, more feed formats, better commenting systems, and more. I'm working on getting a new site made and getting better demos up on the ShockPHP server (including admincp demos, etc). If you need to see the admincp of either script, just drop me a message and I'll give you a username/password to get in with.

Hi Adam. Seems to be some nice scripts. Are they template based or do we have to edit .php files if we want to change the design?

Hi,

It is template-based but the templates aren't "pure" templates (i.e. they aren't completely free of PHP). So, the templating system is the sort of system where the templates are mostly HTML with PHP blocks around it.

In the next major release, planned to beta in June/July, we'll be developing a pure templating system that is much more friendly to work with.

sounds great So updates are included in the 25 $ price?

Our update policy is that customers can upgrade freely within the same major version (so someone who buys the script at version 2 can upgrade to 2.1, 2.2, etc, but not 3.0). This ensures that all customers are entitled to bug fixes, security patches, and all minor feature upgrades.

For an additional $20, users can purchase 6 months of upgrades which allow them to upgrade up major versions. I am planning a more or less complete rewrite of the software with a lot of new major features and expect it to debut in beta in June/July. So, by buying the extra upgrades, you would be entitled to upgrading to that next major version and perhaps even the one after that.
