First I must acknowledge that Adobe has set a Standard in the industry (E.g. DW / PS). I / Myself only use One Adobe software - Acrobat Reader -
It's not that I dislike there products concepts its more along the lines of: - Saturating the Design Market with wannabe Designers that think because they Own DW they are all of a sudden Professional Designers, Thus retro actively destroying the Foundation on which designers / Artists took so long to build.
- I would much rather support the smaller software company's (e.g. Serif Software) & help them compete with monopolizing corporate entities such as Adobe, Microsoft, Etc... (Retroactively creating more competition & employment opportunities through expansion)
As to not drift off topic & get into a debate on my dislike for monopolizing corporate mongers, I suggest that you first start off with helpful tutorial sites like www.w3schools.com along with maybe viewing a few source codes of Live Sites, Opening up NotePad & start practicing hand coding.
No, this won't make you a website designer overnight, in a week, or even in a month. However after repetition for 6-12 months you will get a firmer grasp & understanding of what (HTML) Hyper Text Markup Language is.
Learning code I find to simply be an issue of time & self motivation, if you have both, you can learn. However the creative aspects of Design / Art can NOT be taught to you, you either have it or you don't - PERIOD!!!!! -
Good Luck
