Hi there guys

This is my first time of posting on the design section, I am pretty new to web design so be gentle with me lol,

I need advice on how to sell music from a web site, as somone i know is going to sell their music online, what would be the best way to do this ?

Would it be better to just link to itunes and sell the music from there ?

Or just design a page that accepts paypal ?

I know osCommerce has a mod that supports downloadable goods, if you are comfortable with installing and configuring php/mysql software. X-Cart is also a shopping cart that supports downloadable/'electronic' goods.

You could do the paypal thing, but you would probably want a completely automated system for this (since you won't lose any money on fraud orders). Seems like it would be easiest to find the software that does it for you.

osCommerce is not that difficult to install, some web hosts will install it for you. There are tons of templates available for x-cart and oscommerce so you don't need to worry too much about design. If you do decide to set up one of these carts, make sure you read up on how to secure it. Also, I'm sure you already know this, but look at the client sites for the webhost you go with. I've been turned away myself by seeing slow sites on the hosts featured sites page.
