For checking backlinks, use http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com.

If you are wanting to find out traffic statistics for your site and you're using cPanel, then I'd recommend using AWStats. Otherwise, you could use Google Analytics.

For checking traffic-generating backlinks: Google Analytics, as whym suggested, or my new favorite: SmarterStats. The reason I like this tool is because it is the only one that I've seen that provides referring URLs with querystrings, which is terrific for seeing what people say about you in forums.

Sadly, it doesn't look like that site exists - I'll have to buy it like I did with Gullible Inks
