I'm using Apple's mail program and want to set up a custom email signature with my logo, contact info, etc. How do I set this up to ensure that others' email clients display the signature (rather than showing up as attachments) correctly?

Also, I have tested setting it up in Text Edit and copy/pasting it into Apple Mail's signature window, and I can get it to display correctly but when I send a test email to my different accounts, the spacing is much too loose. What is the best way to control the layout?

Thanks,
Neil Brown

There are some tutorials, and I do have a signature set up with my logo, but from what I read, a lot of email clients won't display the images, but rather treat them as attachments instead. So I am wondering if someone has any tips based on their own experiences.

Also, with the signature I do have set up —*it looks fine in Apple's mail when I compose the email, but then when I send myself a test, the spacing has changed and is much more spread out. So, again, maybe someone has some tips on controlling layout more precisely.

Thanks,
Neil Brown

Many email clients will block images in emails. There's not really a way to make sure that it doesn't just attach. Some email clients will attach it, and some won't. Usually the older ones that aren't as advanced will attach things while the new ones that use the HTML in emails will.
