Hello,

I've been researching this for a while now, and I've yet to come up with a definitive answer.

I have a no-name camera with server integrated, I think the brand is "Low Lux" or something like that. I'm trying to send a feed from the camera to a Web site so customers can see what's going on in the store, like maybe a new picture every minute, or even a full live video stream, it doesn't matter. Is there a guaranteed way to get this to work? The camera is set up to the network, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about it. Even if I'm able to get the camera feed's IP address, how do I get that on a public Web site?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time!

EDIT: I wanted to add, the reason I mentioned it's a no name camera is because the documentation that I've been given doesn't explain anything, and I can't find a manufacturers Web site or phone number.

That would probably be what you're looking for. It does a lot of things, and it's a pretty cool program. Too bad it's only released on Windows...all of the programs for other OS's are hard to use.

Well, I had that bookmarked. I have a couple of other posts if you need them.

Thanks for the quick reply! I read through that article, seems promising. If you wouldn't mind posting the other links for good measure, I'd appreciate it. The only think I didn't notice in this link you posted was an option for single frame capture (like every 10 seconds, take a picture). Do you think this feature is available in the Windows Media program?

Well, if you'd like to that, I have a link to another tutorial. Just a moment.

^I know it's on MySpace, but it's the best tutorial that I know of. Flash seems to be the easiest way to set up a "live" webcam that takes pictures every certain amout of time, because it will automatically update, and you don't need to worry about using Javascript. But instead of using VisionGS, I would use Yawcam. That's because Yawcam uses much less of your computers resources.

And actually, those other links that I said that I had were actually for streaming audio only, but here they are:

You could try WME (Windows Media Encoder)

It's free. Then there is WebcamXP.
