I am not sure where to post this, so I will try here first.

I was told by someone I know very little about that they will sell me there website. It will include any software, skins, and stuff with the website.

Also it will include the domain name.

My question is???

What do I ask for to buy a site legally?

Like to make sure the seller is the owner, and that you are really getting the domain name?

Does a person need like an attorney involved? I am jsut worried about buying a site, and then the domain will not transfer to me, and then the website is actually not the guys website to begin with, stuff like that.

Just looking for tips to stay safe.

What is this site about? Ask for traffic, sales, unique visitors, how long it has been online, check the official owner of the site.

I don't think you need an attorney involved if the website doesn't cost much... but if it is a big website then you need to be more careful
