Leaving a selector blank is invalid - use background: transparent if you must.

O.K and which part do you want transparent? The background is black so making any of them transparent/semi transparent will just show black... unless you are trying to use a colour ontop of the black in the table?

Answer those questions and il try give you the altered code.

Thanks

So is the table already a white background? If so, this will make it a semi-transparent one, which will look gray

Code:
<table width="756" height="746" border="3" class="transp">
<td width="742"><p align="center" class="style13">Back in the year 2002 a group of three young whipper-snappers, disgusted with the continuous decline of the already appalling state of the Australian Music Industry, dared to dream a dream of dreamonic proportions, a dream to revolutionize the Industry as we know it.<br />

Also, remember that internet explorer 6 does not support transparency. If everything fails, try using a different browser.

by the way, it might just be easier to use CSS because the code would be simple: background=opacity: .75

O well, do what you think is best!
