I'm quite fluent with adobe photoshop, and have been making sites for a while that are design orientated. But i've found myself lacking in ideas lately of a decent site design that keeps the all around design.

I wanted to ask you guys how you go about planning a page, designing it, and sticking to the design in all the places. For example of what I mean, making the nav bar, news boxes, or any graphic on the page, stick to the same style as the banner, and go nicely together.

I have recently again started drawing my sites, and finding that i spend a lot more time on planning than just diving straight in (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't).

Wanted advice and feedback from all, or if possible, sites you use for aspiration, or how you come up with ideas etc.

I understand that some people are just plan designers!
