In frontpage, when I go to Insert, file, I get a double spaced file. I know I can go back and go SHIFT Enter and get it to be single spaced, but is there a way to change the settings to single spaced as the default

Yes you can change this. I am currently using FP 2003.

Go to...
format>paragraph

Under "spacing"...
before = 0
after = 0

Let me know if this helps.

Yes, there is a way to do this, but it requires you to set up a theme on your website. You need to set the theme when you create a NEW website in FrontPage. It is to messy to try to add a theme after you already have a site built.

Again, I'm using FrontPage 2003...

Format> Theme> Create new theme (at the very bottom)> Text> More Text Styles> Modify> Format> Paragraph>

Under "spacing"...
before = 0
after = 0

BE SURE TO MAKE THIS YOUR DEFAULT THEME- click on the theme you just created and select "Apply as default theme"

This way is a little bit more complicated, but it works. If you are building a big website it might help, but I usually just stick to shift+enter.

Feel free to post questions...

Hi this is all i found lol still good thow Create a new theme
To create a new theme, you must change an existing theme and then save your changes under a new name.
On the Format menu, click Theme.
In the list, select a theme on which you want to base your new theme.

Thanks for the reply (dlfn trx) for the future i going to have to give it a go, it will be alot of help. you make me so happy thankyou again (dlfn trx)

Ash,

Your very welcome! I'm glad I could help you!

I think if you follow the way I told you at the top, you will not have to create a new theme by modifying an existing theme. That just gets messy because existing themes have a bunch of extra stuff in them.
