I want to jump into template design. Besides the look of the design, what else is the customer looking for technically, so they can integrate it w/ their website material?

Do I only have to make sure I have HTML, FLV, PSD, & SWF formats availible (I use photoshop), or is there other stuff I need to worry about.

* Also how many pages do I need to make on average?

Unsure of what you mean, with the amount of formats on the web, is hundreds/thousands. php, html, css, asp, aspx, php3, js, etc.

Average amount of pages...for what?

I noticed on template monster that the most popular formats are HTML, PSD, FLV, and SWF.

As for the avg amt of pages what I mean is I will design the main template which is one page, like the home page. After the customer gets the PSD or HTML, FLV etc... doc which ever format they perfer, how will they go about making the other pages of the site have the same look, and column sizes etc....

They would have to have some technical knowledge, either that or a WYSIWYG editor (ie dreamweaver)

Most popular formats for the template/design only are html and css, flv is nothing to do with design, it stands for flash video, which is exactly what it is...video. Swf is just flash as well, can be video, or dynamic content. PSD is photoshop based, used for templates, but cannot be used on the internet. It would take a coder to convert it into html and css.

I know what each format is, and I have designed my PHP site in Photoshop, but I don't want to design whole sites for ppl, that takes too much time.

I went on your site, and I noticed you have some templates up. I'm assuming you created just that one page, and when the customer recieves it they will pull it into DW or some other WYSIWYG editor and change the title to their website name.

I'm self taught so there are some grey areas I'm trying to clear up.

basically yeah, But for it to appear properly in a WYSIWYG editor, you'd need all the files (images). Thats why i included a download link (zip) which contains all the files needed.
