Hanks,

I choose vBulletin, you can't compare it to another other ones out there. I really like vBulletin simple plug-in system. No code modifications have to be changed or the hassle of uninstalling.

VBulletin by far, if you're serious about your forum site, that's the only way to go for me!

I disagree .. I run vB on 4 sites, and decided to try smf for the new one. I know it wasn't in the choices on the poll.. but I gotta say SMF is dang good. Its missing a few things I am use to with vb admin wise, but very good IMHO. Just because I went with it, does not mean I am not serious about my sites. It means I found another piece of software that works just as well.

I use IPB for all my forums and I am really happy with it. But I must say I vBulletin rocks too.

vBulletin has to be my forum software of choice, although SMF and MyBB provide some very nice free alternatives

I chose IPB because their ACP is wonderful and the way you edit skins is much easyer. There are a lot of things i like.

I like vB too. (i own both) It has great features and the way you dont have to edit your skins after every update is nice too. I just think their ACP could be redesigned to make it more user friendly

vBulletin by far. There isn't anything that even comes close to matching it in functionality and security. It is by far the best forum software on the market right now. Why do you think EF uses it, along with most other huge forums?

I recommend vb highly, but if you are a cheapskate, SMF seems to be the best option

I've only ever used PHPBB, thats because it's free, however i'm signed up on many vB boards and I do like its features.

I also gave ekinboard a bit of a go too, i'm just a fan of the underdogs though!
