I PM'ed Lee to see if this is OK, so here goes.

My wife is currently staying home with our three kids, 2 not yet in school, and 1 1st grade. She also is a home daycare provider for three others. Long story short, she lost 2 this week to a move, and we have to replace the $700 income. I really want to find something she can do either at night or in down times while the kids eat, nap, etc. She has some medical experience, and I am failry IT savy, so between the two of us, she could do something things like medical coding, document typing, etc.

What do you guys suggest?? She could definately blog on parenting type issues and could also be a fairly active poster.

Any thoughts, suggestions??

thanks,
tim

Umm.... What kind of experience does she have with computers? A blog would be a good idea for child care and such. I am not sure what else. That would be a good idea for a blog for other mothers who run daycare services out of their homes. That would be especially good if she would have the time to post regularly. I will keep my eye open for anything that may work here and the best of luck to you and your family ~John

She is good enough with computers to regularly post, edit, and add things to a website if we were to start one. She would be able to post at least several times a day and possibly more. She does a lot on the internet as it is, but could do more. Most of what she does is looking at things kids related.

you guys could always design & open up a web site for her, dedicating it for parenting issues, tips & tricks, maybe even her favorite or any good snacks or whatever. Another good thing would be to make it user friendly so that other stay at home parents can post their knowledge, or instead you could have a rating system for whatever she puts up so she can get feedback. Use google and clicksor to gain income, or have a donate via paypal. Just an idea, im a web designer so my mind is always thinking about what can be done, if you need any help go ahead & messsage me, hope this was helpfull, -greg

She can also be a "customer support specialist". Companies outsource at $8 to $15/hour. She will need a high speed net connection and a telephone line. I believe one of them is called LiveOps. She picks her schedule, and how many hourse she wants to work.

If she has creditentials in the medical profession (and if she enjoys writing), perhaps your wife could establish herself as an expert writer for her previous field. Freelancing, she could set her own hours and all that jazz.

I think the web colud use a good resource or database for parents. With the medical aspect of it, she could write stuff on child CPR, or generally administering aid to children. Plus, she obviously has a lot of mothering experience.

I think a blog about raising and caring for children would be a good idea. She can offer tips and instruction on the many levels of parenting. Maybe a forum?

She can try to be a forum poster. A lot of new forums are looking for paid posters to jumpstart their communities.
The going rate is about $0.10/post. If you can post a lot per day, you can make quite some money.

The best for the time being i can suggest is Professional Content writing or Press releases and in free time if she gets bored try out Forum posting
or else design a blog and apply for Payperpost or something like that
because $700/Mo is not a small income to generate from starting
