Can anyone recomend a paid WYSIWYG editor for Windows. Currently I am using some freeware software and notepad but I could do with an upgrade

I have heard that dreamweaver is good but £400 is too expensive, a mid priced (under £100) would be ideal...

Thanks

Dreamweaver is worth every penny you pay for it.... Its really excellent tool with terrific books available for it.

I was able to take a couple of education courses which showed me a lot of 'tips and tricks' to increase my productivity with the tool but a lot of my education is 'self teach' using 'The Dreamweaver Bible' by Wiley press and 'The Missing Manual' by O'Reilly press.

It's wonderful to be able to work in HTML on the top half of your screen and see the results immediate on the bottom half...

I personally recommend Dreamweaver. It's expensive if you do not use it often, however I have found it to be open 24/7 on my computer

We offer a cheaper solution, a WYSIWYG html editor built right into your internet browser. It even includes free web templates!

We also offer a free solution:

Good luck with whatever you choose!

There's also NVU, an open source wysiwg editor. Its pretty darn easy to use. You just have to make sure you check little things in the preferences tab., such as wheter or not to keep original source formatting if you download a page from site into the browser to edit it! ( That little no no cost me many a 404 error)I also use Dreamweaver and find it quite good. It is definetely a memory hog, though, and since my main box is packing a measly 128 k of memory, the objects button often freezes when I try to ftp using Dreamweaver's publishing capability. I've found it easier to use a standalone ftp like CoreFTP lite. I just work on my page(s) in Dremweaver, and when I'm finished I sort the file by date in my FTP program and then bingo, upload away.

Curious what "freeware" you are using--
Do you have an older version of SiteBuilder, by Yahoo, by any chance????
