Been reading for a while first time post.. and thanks for all the great info!!

Now on to my question, I want to add a page to my website that friends and family can go to and post pics, kind of like my own personal photo bucket. I have a BB and people can post stuff there but i would like people to be able to just point and click to upload pics to my site.
I use Dreamweaver MX and maybe it has some thing built in for doing this??? Any help would be great thanks.

Hmm, I dont know. Have you tried coppermine photo gallery? It has a great forum like gallery. A more efficiant one is 4images gallery, It is VERY customizable, and is a great photo forum. It is pretty cool. here is one in action. They cost money, But if your webhost offers fantastico, then you can get it for free as long as it is non profit.

You need a good script serverside script if you want people to be able to upload things to your site without using ftp. vBulleting has an uploader included in theire forums if iam correct, but vbulletin is not for free. A good free one is phpBB, but i don't know if that supports uploading pictures/files by visitors.
