I have completely redesigned my site, most friends here seem to like the new design but, I'm stuck with the top menu, I don't think its color perfectly match the site them. Any ideas of colors and look would be greatly appreciated. Should I turn it into tabs? Thank you for helping me.

Try some warm colors like orange or red. You can choose some shades of them. The green color relaxes people and orange/red gets their attention.

How about changing it from a blue gradient background to an orange-based one?

I really think you are right, I need some warmth but do you think those colors will match my color scheme? Take a look at the attachment.

Try making it a lighter orange with a dark text on top.
