I would like to know if any of the professional web designers use the small text links at the bottom of the page?

Something like this:

Thanks

It is always good to add the small links.

actually it depends on the requirements of the customers, but most of the time checking those large sites they always have this small text link navigation

Yea you should, nothing wrong with them and they're nice to have on large websites. but yes in most cases you should have them or atleast be alright with having them.

I always add the small links. It is sort of like a 2nd menu, even if it has the same items as the menu. These are also picked up by search engines as text when menus are often set in graphics.

Yes we use those links. Sometimes I place all the relevant links at the bottom, and sometimes I just put a link to a sitemap.

P.S. You spelled outsourcing wrong

i see no reason to duplicate navigation. unless it was done only in graphics as mentioned. a link to a site map would be more appropriate.

in most cases it's redundant and is an old practice.

Most professional websites do. Its provides better deep linking for your site.

if you have real text links then there's no need to have it again for 'deep linking', but hey, do what you want

I think the small links at the bottom of the page can act as a sort of guidemap to the site. If people have read through all your content and then want to navigate further, they'll continue down rather than scrolling back up.

My advice: leave them in!

I'd put them in, all the big sites tend to have them and users can easily find their way around
