I am the owner at resnodesigns.com and we decided we wanted to host a contest for web design.

Until we can gauge how big this event will be, the submission form will be using the comment on our blog.

Get a prize involved and people will be more interested, I may be when more people enter and a prize is put in

Well its only like seven days in, but no entries. Some sort of prize would be a good motivator..

I agree about the prize. You need to have some motivation for people to enter your contest. Your site doesn't have enough prestige for people to enter just for recognition there. Offering a prize, in my opinion, is the only way to go.

The thing is, the prize doesn't even have to be big. You can offer something small (month of hosting, free domain registration) or something like that and still get entrants.

hmm, I really like that idea. Thanks. I work out the details. And post them here. I will most likely do the month of hosting.

Ok, so let me explain the details!

The contest will begin: May 9, 2008 and will end May 23, 2008.
Voting will begin on May 23 and continue until May 30, 2008. On May 31st I will declare the winner of the contest.


The contest is only focusing on web site design, to include usability, attractiveness, and overall uniqueness.



The 1st place winner will be awarded one (1) month of PHP banner-less, free hosting.

and another thing: what kind of web design? i mean do the contestants have to design an interface, logo etc or make a wallpaper or whatever.

does no one want free hosting?
