Hey guys,
I have made the step from simply designing websites in Firefox and slicing it all up to writing the code out myself. I have done so with a new project, but I am not understanding where my alignment issues are. Would you please take a look at my code and CSS and give me a hand.

**
I have taken upon the task of having 2 background images. It has worked so far. I had the whole site looking good in Firefox but completely skewed in IE.

Thank you in advance.

1 - get rid of the tables. If you're going to make the leap to CSS, go all the way, you don't need the tables and they WILL cause you problems. I've never seen the point of sticking divs inside of tables. That's like installing a tv in a house with no electricity

You might also step up to at LEAST HTML 4.01 STRICT instead of that loosey-goosey transitional DOCTYPE.

IE does not support min/max width/height - and that min-height: 100% is pretty much pointless anyway.

Tables are gone.

Gone strict.

Removed all traces of min/max width/height.

Of course going solely DIV is very foreign to me, so what I do not know how to do is align everything perfectly and where it needs to go.
