...would someone be able to tell me if this is very advanced flash or quite basic?

It's a basic flash. It uses tweening, and some filtering effects.

If you look at the downloads page on Dezingerfolio, you'll find an accordian script, which basically does what that website does, faster. It uses javascript.

I checked out the website in the link above. It is a very basic flash. It is fairly easy to do.

Not very search engine friendly, however. Not sure if I recommend making sites like this. If its only to show to customers, I guess it is fine, but it is complicated to get the information to show up on Google.

It looks neat but it is not great for SEO or people with slow dial up, if you did want to add it I would suggest that you create your home page without it, or only a small part of it, as not everyone has flash installed.
